Leaving on our cross country tour!!!

The LAFCO Bus leaves today on an incredible journey from Venice to Brooklyn.
On our trip we will be exploring the following question:
How do the politically disenfranchised use the arts to give themselves a voice and effect change. More broadly, what is the relationship between art and politics in America today.
I will be focussing more on video work than photography.
We have a wonderful photojournalist documenting the whole trip.
Visit to see his work.

Here is an interview I did with Oliver Stone as we left LA:

Ohi!! Apart from the fact that I LOVE your picture... I'd like to ask you something... how can you put videos on your blog? I tried... but it didn't work!

So cool that Oliver Stone is saluting you guys, he's one of the best in Hollywood... Natural Born Killers is a classic. I do think he's understimating the power of dreams though. Art is a symbolic language and it's so important to keep it pure. Films are the biggest art expression of today hence their importance. Tao remember that if it wasn't for pioneers we'd still be living in caves!
Have a nice trip.

Oliver Stone is A self-important elitist asshole who apparently thinks he's smarter than just about everybody. Take the film-making lessons from him to a certain extent and little else, please, Tao. You seem like a really nice person and I hope that years from now you're still the same. Don't get jaded. And people in middle America are not uneducated and they don't get all their info from t.v. I feel like I must repeat...he's an asshole.
